This panel provides presumptive evidence of immunity to measles, mumps, and rubella for purposes of routine vaccination, for students at post-high school educational institutions, and for international travelers.
This test can confirm infection with measles, mumps, or rubella, and provide proof of immunity. If you’ve been exposed to these viruses or have received the MMR vaccination, the test will detect IgG, an antibody that provides protection against re-infection. This can serve as evidence of immunity for students, international travelers, and anyone else required to prove that they can’t start an outbreak of the highly contagious conditions.
